Basak Demires Ozkul has completed her master’s in 2001 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Cambrige, MA USA. She is a graduate of the Urban and Regional Planning Department at Istanbul Technical University and has completed her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Sir Peter Hall at the Bartlett School of Planning UCL in 2011. She has also experience in international project management, she co-ordinated a successful Interreg IVB North-West application for a five country team. She has conducted various international workshops in the UK and in Turkey. She has also received training in facilitation skills and worked as facilitator at the Centre for Advancement for Learning and Teaching at UCL. She is working as Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Architecture since 2017.
