Assoc. Prof. Gürkan Emre Gürcanlı

Biography

Gürkan Emre Gürcanlı was born in 1973. He received his BSc degree in Civil Engineering from Bosphorus University (Istanbul) and M.Sc degree in Construction Management from Technical University of Istanbul. He was research assistant at Technical University of Istanbul Civil Engineering Faculty Construction Management Department. He had started Ph.D program at the same university and he had been working on his Ph.D thesis on construction safety management that focused on fuzzy rule-based evidential reasonign approach for construction site safety analysis. After his doctoral dissertation, he started as a lecturer and then took the title of Assoc.Prof. on Construction Management. Now, he is working at Technical University of İstanbul, Civil Engineering Faculty. He has also been working as an expert witness in criminal and labour courts for fifteen years on occupational accidents. His research and consultation interests are construction safety, safety and health management, safety and health legislation, construction law, contract administration, construction management, multivariate statistical analysis, , fuzzy logic.
