Gulcihan Ozdemir: received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1987, and the M.Sc. degree in power systems from University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA, in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree in computational science and engineering from Istanbul Technical University, in 2012. She was a visiting research scholar at the North Carolina State University, NSF FREEDM Systems Center, (Future Renewable Electric Energy Delivery and Management Systems Center), Raleigh, USA, in 2014-2015. She is currently a lecturer in applied informatics department of Informatics Institute, Istanbul Technical University.
Research interests are:
modeling; simulation; and optimization of distribution and transmission power systems, and Volt/VAR control, distributed power management, distributed generation, smart grid and probabilistic load forecasting
