In this study, we aim to compare the VCI maps and time series derived from two very well-known and widely used satellite platforms namely MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) and Landsat to monitor and understand the drought conditions. We investigated the impacts of spatial and temporal resolutions on drought analysis by further investigating selected basins of Turkey having different land surface characteristics.
