Due to the cubic relationship between wind speed and wind power density, variation of wind speed influence wind power density dramatically. Therefore it is crucial to investigate wind energy potential with small time interval wind measurement data. In this study, the effect of measurement intervals on energy production was investigated on 36 MW wind farm, designed by using three different turbine types. 10 minutes measurement wind speeds was converted to half hourly, hourly, three hourly and daily data interval sets. As a result of the study, it was shown that the differences between 10 minutes intervals wind power density may reach to 16.98% and energy production values differences may reach to 23%.
