Özet

This paper stresses the importance of residual organic matter in the control of textile effluents, using COD as a collective parameter. A method of soluble residual COD determination and evaluation is defined and illustrated. The results are critically reviewed in the light of existing information concerning pollutants and applicable effluent limitations.
