Özet

In this experimental study, hairiness of ring- and rotor-spun cotton yarns of 20 tex were measured on both Uster Tester 3 and Zweigle hairiness testers at various testing speeds and lengths. All production work and tests were carried out under industrial conditions. It was observed that, for Uster Tester 3, testing speed had a significant influence on the hairiness readings. While testing length seemed to have no effect on the Uster Tester 3 results, the Zweigle G 565 results decreased as the testing length increased.
