Özet

In this study, a simulation-based process analysis was carried out for a simultaneous nitrification and denitrification (SNdN) process. The simulation results were found to be in agreement within 9% relative error compared to the effluent quality calculated with a proposed analytical design procedure. Based on the simulation study, an improved nitrogen removal efficiency around 96% was maintained for a dissolved oxygen set-point condition of K-OA >= S-Oset > K-O for the selected model. Under decreased chemical oxygen demand/total Kjeldahl nitrogen (COD/TKN) loading conditions, the adjustment of lower dissolved oxygen set point levels were required to achieve higher nitrogen removal performance.
