Özet

This paper addresses the steady cavitating flows around three-dimensional hydrofoils inside a numerical wave tank (NWT) by an iterative boundary element method. The integral equation based on Green's theorem is divided into five parts: cavitating hydrofoil part, free surface part, right wall of tunnel, left wall of tunnel and bottom surface of tunnel. These five problems are solved separately, with the effects of one on the others being accounted for in an iterative manner. The method is applied to a rectangular cavitating hydrofoil and the effects of walls of NWT on wave elevations and cavity characteristics are discussed.
