A semi-symmetrical groove guide resonator at millimeter waves is investigated both experimentally and numerically. The structure is made of duraluminium and fabricated with a maximum relative tolerance of less than 0.5%. Its resonance frequencies are measured. The simulations are performed via the powerful time domain simulator FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain). The comparisons will be presented and the results will be discussed.
