In this study, we consider the Mathews-Lakshmanan oscillator equation as a nonlinear dynamical system. Firstly, the time independent integrals and analytical solutions for the Mathews-Lakshmanan oscillator equation are obtained by using the modified Prelle-Singer procedure as a different approach. We demonstrate that the equation is integrable with respect to its first integrals. Furthermore, the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian forms of the equation are investigated.
