Abstract

This paper simulates the production operations of an underground longwall mining system. Simulation program is designed to predict the material flow from longwall faces to the main haulage system. Equipment delay times which interrupt the production activity, and the repair times are also included in the model. Resulting delays and their effects on production rate is considered in the study.
