This study focuses on future powertrain systems with the aim of defining the most probable implantation road map for the different alternatives to improve powertrain efficiency. A new methodology called Technology Development Envelope (TDE) for transforming the roadmapping approach to the level in which it is dynamic, flexible and operationalizable is applied for a case study of Ford Otosan's technological planning concept.
