Özet

Lithium sulfur batteries with high specific capacity and ultrahigh energy density, are promising candidates for next generation energy storage systems, although polysulfide dissolution and shuttle effect limit its practical application. Herein, we report a facile strategy to overcome shuttle effect and capacity fading via B-doped (1 and 5 wt.%) TiO2 nanopowder coated separator. B dopant with positive polarization in TiO2 structure enhances the chemisorption with negatively charged polysulfides species. Compared with undoped TiO2 separator, the B (1%) and (5%) doped TiO2 coated separators could deliver higher capacities of 1001 and 1293 mAh g(-1) after 100 cycles at 1 C after 100 cycles, Also outstanding rate capability of B (5%) doped TiO2 coated separator, enhances active material reutilization ratio as well as alleviates the shuttle effect and provides a promising approach for high performance Li-S batteries.
