Abstract

Axiomatic Design (AD) is a guide for understanding design problems, while establishing a scientific foundation to provide a fundamental basis for the creation of products and processes. The most important concept in axiomatic design is the existence of the design axioms. AD has two design axioms: independence axiom and information axiom. The independence axiom maintains the independence of functional requirements, and information axiom proposes the selection of the best alternative that has minimum information, In this study AD is proposed for multi-attribute comparison of mobile phones regarding their ergonomic design.
