Verification of Channel Reciprocity Implementation in Software Defined Radios

Channel estimation is one of the vital processes in wireless communication systems. Assuming that A and B are two communication nodes, coefficients of the channel from A node to B node, must be very similar to the coefficients of the channel from B node to A node, due to channel reciprocity. In this paper, channel reciprocity property is tested by using software defined radio kits in laboratory environment. Average amplitude and phase values of these two channel coefficients are compared. The result of these comparisons is that the average amplitude and phase values are close.
