Abstract

The comfort is especially related to physical characteristics of clothings/fabrics. Comfortable clothings are capable of protecting heat and moisture stability of body in different situations. Comfort is an important parameter in terms of usage performance of clothings. 100% cotton greige-melange, 100% cotton, 85% cotton-15% polyamid fabrics were used in the experiment parts of the study. Tests, made for defining features of special finishing technics were performed on laboratory conditions. To be able to define the effects of finishings on the fabrics by tests, other physical and fastness properties of fabrics have been examined. The effects of finishings on fabrics were examined using the results of the experiments and the effect mechanisms have been determined. Results of the experiments show that newly developed military fabric structures and special finishing processes improved fabrics' comfort properties.
