Energy policy of the European Union aims to reduce the energy consumption and CO2 emissions therefore EU countries have developed their standards and regulations for energy performance assessment. This paper investigates the lighting energy performance assessment methodologies for different countries and introduces the current situation in Europe concerning this topic.
