A simple design for fine tuning of the monopole which involves a tuning strip placed as a part of the monopole at the feed point of the antenna is presented. Utilizing the strip, the maximum return loss was increased in the order of 15 dB and the fine tuning range of the centre frequency is about +/- 150 MHz for the return loss > 30 dB.
