Abstract

Four publications not included in Carle's (1988) and Sengor's (Zentralblatt Fur Geol Palaontol Jhg 9(10):1051-1106) lists of Hans Stille's publications have been identified. They are important in showing the extent of Stille's influence in Spain and his contribution to keeping the scientific spirit and especially the German Geological Society alive in the devastated post-war Germany when even scientific activities were severely restricted by the invading Allied powers.
