Abstract

A survey of some scientific data formats, planning for a possible implementation and a survey of the supporting technologies available are discussed. The well-known formats used until now have been systemized in order to discuss their particularities, possibilities and shortcomings. The goal is to take some conclusions and to give any suggestions as far as scientific data formats are concerned.
