Özet

In the studied area, lateritic/bauxitic occurrences have been determined in Cretaceous limestones generally in the cracks and cavities, and also as a cover on the sedimentary rocks. Ophiolitic melange, lacustrine limestones and intermediary volcanics are the other observed rocks. Chemical studies and revealed that there was a strict relationships not only between ophiolites and lateritic-bauxitic occurrences but also between ophiolites and limestones in the form of dolomitisation and magnesitisation.
