© IMCET 2022. All rights reserved.Energy demand has been increasing due to the rise of consumption and the need of energy production from thermal power plants is continuous. The optimized use of coal mine sites close to the thermal power plants is vital as per raw material site. Resource modelling and the estimation of energy potential of a coal mine site is important stage and it is a part of estimation problem solution. Konya Ilgın coal mine site is an important site due to the location in which is in the middle of Turkey as well as serving to a 500 MWe capacity thermal power plant. Geostatistical evaluation of the coal mine site and the results of resource and quality investigations presented in this study.
