Özet

In this study, a front loading washing machine has been modelled and analyzed during its spinning phase to calculate the displacement and stresses on the system using Finite Element Method. Centrifugal forces that are originated from unbalanced mass inside the drum is dynamically applied to the drum surface on the numerical model. The implementation of centrifugal forces due to this unbalanced mass is provided in the numerical model by a rotational unbalanced mass on a stationary drum. In addition, this study also involves information about simplified bearing modelling. Numerical results obtained from the developed model are compared with experimental results measured in certain locations and the results are found to be in good agreement. It has been aimed that the developed model can be an inspiration for design modifications and feature work in washing machines.
