Abstract

In this study, the wear behavior of the pure and carbide (SiC, Cr3C2, and WC) doped 14 alumina was investigated. Carbide doping increased the hardness and improved the wear resistance, significantly. WC doped alumina exhibited the highest hardness and wear resistance.
