Lighting energy performance of the building's are dependent on the energy consumed in order to achieve the visual comfort. In order to decrease the energy consumption and CO2 emission, European Union countries employed several regulations and some software tools based on these regulations. Building Energy Performance Regulation (2002/91/EC) is first published in 2002 and since then other regulations are developed based on (2002/91/EC). In Turkey, BEP-TR, a new national calculation methodology is developed based on the Turkey conditions. In scope of this paper, this methodology is shortly described and energy performance levels of different buildings are briefly calculated.
