Abstract

We show that j-rotation space-time block codes (STBCs) are basically location dependent and rotated group STBCs (LDRGSTBCs). We point out that LDRGSTBCs could be applied to any literally known STBC of square sized codeword matrix and as an example, we apply LDRGSTBCs to some STBCs published in the literature. Literally known STBCs are merely designed by the criterias obtained from the codeword distance matrix. Therefore, STBCs, which have the same codeword autocorrelation matrix (For short, autocorrelation matrix.) will perform the same bit error rate (BER). LDRGSTBCs do have the same autocorrelation matrix; therefore, they are the group codes, which perform the same BER.
