Abstract

At present determination, registration and conservation of historical assets, counted as part of the shared heritage of mankind, are essential in order to pass them on the next generations by preserving their originality. Certainly, Anatolian settlements occupy an important position within this heritage with its historical stages. The late development of the conservation concept, and also the lack of protection approaches to the national policies are the main reasons of the late discovery of historical places as well as ignorance of those places' potential. This study will indicate the great value of the architectural heritage and will present the significance of those places. Moreover this paper, which investigates a small scaled model of Anatolia, contains the current challenges of Hanonu, considering qualitative analysis and suggestions for these interventions; also creates a suggestion for the protection of historical values.
