Abstract

The main purpose of the optimal control is to minimize H2 norm of the closed loop transfer function matrix under the pole placement and H 2 norm performance constraints. In this paper, the problem of static state feedback H2 optimal control with regional pole constraint is formulated as an optimization problem involving Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) and is employed on a power system model to illustrate the feasibility of the method.
