The article includes impressions of the roundtable meeting, which was held as part of the "International Day of Women and Girls in Science" on February 11. During the meeting held by the cooperation of European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance (EELISA) and EELISA Innovation and Common Research Strategy (innoCORE), the difficult struggles of eight women from different countries, from different age groups, who have different roles in the scientific world, were presented based on their individual experiences, and solutions were offered to overcome the difficulties. While the event drew attention to the similarity of the processes women go through regardless of the geography they live in, it also brought us to the outputs that difficulties can be overcome with the help of science and solidarity. From this point of view, the effects of the change to be experienced with the implementation of gender equality plans and open science practices on creating a more egalitarian society were evaluated.
