Abstract

Istanbul remains and will always remains the artistic, cultural, industrial and commercial centre of the country. It was enriched with mosques, palaces, foundations, schools, baths, bridges and viaducts etc. All of these historical events have taken place in the part, which is called "Old City of Istanbul". The Fatih (Zeyrek) is one of the most important historical districts in this city.
