Optimization in an inclined enclosure for minimum entropy generation in natural convection

This presented study accomplishes the investigation of the orientational optimization of the enclosure, like the study of Acharya and Goldstein [3], for minimum entropy generation (the destroyed exergy) in laminar natural convection heat transfer. The two dimensional conservation equations, with Boussinesq approximation and vorticity stream function formulation, have been solved computationally; then based on these numerical results, the entropy generation number vs. inclination angle and the local entropy generation maps over the entire cross section of the enclosure are presented graphically for selecting the optimum inclination angles.
