Cooperative diversity is an effective method of improving power efficiency of wireless communication systems without using additonal transmit antennas on the mobile device. In this paper, error performance of the improved super-orthogonal space-time trellis codes in the relay cooperative diversity system using amplify and forward method is investigated for different channel combinations. It is shown by computer simulations that the improved super-orthogonal space-time trellis codes provide the best error performance for the evaluated system.
