Özet

The EUs one of the biggest projects Trans-Europeans Transport Network (TEN-T), which is estimated to cost near EUR 600 billion, should be planned with taking the Turkeys unique geographical position and as a candidate of EU membership in to account. However in the current situation, the European commission of transport's 30 priority axes does not include Turkey excluding priority axe n degrees 21 "motorways of the sea". With the current growth in the traffic between memberstates, which is expected to double by 2015, the required investment for the current transportation models will be very high. So the best solution for the problem lies within the word "intermodel transportation" which means usage of all models of transportation with high efficiency and choosing the most appropriate mode for the transportation. In this study, possible connections with the current ongoing TEN-T projects for Turkey is discussed while studying the implementation of TEN-T.
