In this study, the simulation of biomass gasification in a fluidized bed gasifier has been performed using Aspen Plus simulation program. Rice husk and steam have been chosen as a biomass and gasification agent, respectively, for gasification process. The results obtained from the Aspen Plus were compared with an experimental study presented in the literature. For this purpose, the influences of gasification temperature and steam to biomass ratio (S/B) on product gas composition have been investigated. The simulation results show good agreement with the experimental data to predict the H2, CO and CO2. However, the results for CH4 are under estimated.
