Istanbul is may be the only city located on two continents and, the biggest city of Turkey has a population of nearly ten million at the end of 1998, which is 15% of Turkey's population. The main aim of this study is to asset the transportation alternatives made by Istanbul Metropolitan City Transport Master Plan. At the conclusion part, some suggestions are given to solve the city transport problems.
