Abstract

International Center for Hydrogen Energy Technologies (ICHET) has a directorate to implement education activities for communities at all scales to teach the concepts and potential benefits of the "hydrogen and fuel cell systems. ICHET has embarked on a series of activities designed to increase the knowledge and awareness of students and advanced researchers in particular. Schools visits are employed as a means to share hydrogen and fuel cell knowledge with school management, teachers and students towards training, curriculum development, distribution of hydrogen educational kits and undertaking school projects. Internship activities facilitate knowledge transfer, exchange of information at regional, national and international levels and involve academics, researchers, experts and service providers. ICHET is offering quarterly short training courses and laboratory sessions on various aspects of hydrogen energy technologies for students to gain hands-on experience. A monthly e-publication on renewable energy, hydrogen technologies and fuel cell developments aims to disseminate knowledge of hydrogen technologies to high school students in Turkey and in developing countries.
