Abstract

Basis of the economical development of the countries depends on the use of the natural resources in a most sustainable and productive manner. While developed countries are able to use their resources in this way; developing countries, in general, are still in lack of the sufficient knowledge and monitoring technologies about the quality and quantity of their natural resources. So, as a result of insufficient mapping of the natural resources; complete and well-established data sets about the land and water resources, distribution of cultivated lands and forests, grasslands and mines are not available in developing and under-developed countries.
