Özet

The bitumen of the Avgasmasya asphaltite is derived from oil with the same source as the Raman-Dincer oil. Water washing and/or biodegration have depleted the n-alkanes but not branched alkanes or aromatics. The effects of oxidation are manifest in the increase in oxygen containing functional groups and in the condensation of aromatic material.
