Özet

Moisture is an importanat parameter in both the formation and utilization of coal deposits. Moisture content has a direct effect on reactivity, gasification pyrolysis, drying and volatile matter evoluation, size degradation charecteristics, transportation economics, ignition point and combustibility limit of coals. In this study we report effect of coal moisture on emissions in two types boilers. Experiments were carried out using 6 % moisture South African, 13 % moisture Soma, 22 % moisture Yenikoy Agach- South African mixture coals and 37 %, 25 %, 21 %, 17 %, 15 % and 10 %moisture Yenikoy-Agach coal. The latter five moisture contents are realised by controlled drying. Individual particulate emissions profiles and cumulative particulate and CO, SO2 and NOx emissions are determined. Particulate emissions resulted in a maximum emission at moisture contents of about 21 % for Agach coal for both boilers. This confirmed the previous results for another type of boiler and stove combustion.
