Özet

In this paper thermal residual stresses and their effects to overall mechanical properties in SIC particulate reinforced Al matrix composites were investigated by numerical analysis. The stress distributions in the matrix and their effects on the overall stress - strain behavior were determined. Besides the effect of relaxation on the residual stresses were included in the calculations by using time dependent analysis.
