Özet

Noise isolation properties of the closure systems are important factors for the acoustic performance of vehicles. This study explains sound transmission through a door sealing system, and numerical methods analyze all acoustic responses' parameters. A specific design of experiments (DoE) analysis is carried out to reveal the effects of each material along with the predefined geometric entities and their dimensions. Viscoelastic material parameters are included with full factorial designs for a particular geometry. Material optimization is implemented with the Taguchi method by incorporating noise factors. Optimization of the geometric entities is studied, and the best section shapes for acoustic performance are obtained. A robust optimization study is conducted by considering the uncontrollable noise factors. Consequently, the door closing efforts compromise the acoustic design to present an overall method with design constraints.
