Experimental data on the electrophoretic mobility of Ca-montmorillonite clay particles in electrolyte solutions at different concentrations were measured. The values of the zeta potential are qualitatively analyzed by considering the structural properties of the montmorillonite particles and the type of anion and cation in electrolyte as well as the concentration of the electrolyte. When Na salts were used, the zeta potential increased with increasing concentration.
