This paper represents experimental roll force modeling of a plate hot-rolling. The structure of the model is dynamical and predicts the steady-state values of roll force. The parametric form of Guidorzi is used for the dynamical modeling. The proposed model structure has a great advantage for process control and can be easily applied for the design of model-based advanced controllers in the thickness control in a plate hot-rolling.
