Özet

A preliminary microzonation study has been conducted with respect to ground shaking intensity for the town of Dinar using Grade-1 and Grade-2 methods recommended in the Manual for Zonation on Seismic Geotechnical Hazards based on the available information obtained from the damage survey and the geotechnical investigation. Insitu penetration tests, seismic wave velocity measurements and microtremor studies were performed to determine the variation of the soil profile as well as the characteristics of the soil layers within the town boundaries. The results obtained are compared with the damage distribution observed in Dinar Earthquake that clearly demonstrated the effect of local site conditions and soil amplification arising from the geological and geotechnical factors.
