The paper applies the theory of critical points with nonholonomic constraints to Study the interaction of two open thermodynamical systems. To discuss the equilibrium states after the interaction we use constrained critical points of the following objective functions: affine combination of temperatures, affine combination of pressures, affine combination of chemical potentials and Cobb-Douglas functions. The constraints are either the Gibbs-Duhem-Pfaff equations or constant level sets of previous functions.
