Özet

The dynamic behaviour of a partially filled and submerged cylindrical shell was examined using a boundary element method. 'In-vacuo' dynamic characteristics of the shell were obtained by using a standard finite element package. In the wet part of the analysis, the fluid-structure interaction effects were described in terms of generalised added mass coefficients. To assess the influence of the internal and external fluids on the dynamic behaviour of the shell, the natural frequencies were obtained.
