Abdals are one of the most important communities in Anatolian Musical heritage with their specific ways of expression. Their special and distinctive life styles, social relations, religious views, traditions, values and ideas created in their spiritual realms are the main sources of their authentic art. Neset Ertas genius of art with his products and reed-vocal techniques and with his contributions to musical depth, is the master of this art community Neset Ertas poet son of Muharrem Ertas who comes from the Holy Abdals family, is a unique artist. As a Bektashi bard who loves Allah and the people, he conveyed what he received from Allah to public through art, using notions like love, respect, brotherhood, unity, integrity, tolerance, wit, knowledge and esteem for science, with the pseudonym "Garip" and with his songs composed in clear and pure Turkish. His valuable works which fall into some of the best places in our country's musical heritage are reflections of his magnificent art.
