Abstract

We discuss realizations of the Galilei, Galilei-similitude and Schrodinger Lie algebras in three dimensional space-time in terms of vector fields under the action of the group of local diffeomorphisms of the space R-3 X C As an application of these realizations we construct some general second order invariant evolution equations and show that various physically interesting equations proposed as generalizations of the free Schrodinger equation are obtained as special cases.
