Abstract

This work deals with the development of a methodology, under the form of an algorithmic procedure, for modeling an adsorption column design by using dimensional analysis within a scale up scheme. An implementation concerning dye adsorption on spruce sawdust is presented, proving that the methodology suggested herein gives better results compared to mechanismic models, serving also in bridging engineering performance based on empirical relations with pure scientific approach based on induction/deduction.
